Miami Little Theatre Has Moved!

As you may know, MLT purchased a new building next to the historic Coleman Theatre. We have now officially moved moved across the street from our former home to 117 N Main (the previous location of Shooters Bar). This is truly a dream come true and something the MLT board has been looking forward to for a long time. We had been looking for a number of years to find just the perfect location and building and this is it! We now have a work room to build sets while the cast rehearses dance numbers on our spacious 2nd floor. There's still a lot of cleaning up, repairs and renovation to do but we love it and are very happy to be there. We hope to get it ready with for an open house soon so that everyone can see it. Thank you Miami for all of your support and encouragement!!

David Froman

Miami Little Theatre would like to honor the memory of a great man, a passionate actor, and an amazing friend... Mr. David Froman.

After a courageous battle with cancer, David passed away on February 8th, 2010. Some may know David from his successful acting career, starring in shows such as Matlock, Hunter, and The Edge of Night. To others, David was our teacher, mentor, husband, father, friend and more.

With MLT, David starred in The King and I, Miracle Worker, Fiddler on the Roof, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof--- just to name a few! David was also an inspirational and talented director, as evidenced in what is widely regarded as "the best play experience ever" by everyone involved
with Rumors.

Our deepest sympathies go out to David's family for their loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

If you would like to join us in expressing our memories of David and condolences to David's family, please visit the Facebook Group: David Froman.

A public memorial will be held for David on Friday, February 12th at 2:00 pm at the NEO A&M Fine Arts Auditorium.

David was an inspiration to us all, on and off the stage and MLT is happy to have called you one of our own. David.....we'll see you in ACT II.

New Building!

Miami Little Theatre is happy to announce the purchase of our new building!

We are now in the process of moving into our new location, just across the street from the current Miami Little Theatre on Main street in Miami. We've been looking to have a place where we had enough room to rehearse together, store our plentiful supply of stuff, and perhaps even serve as a small theater in the near future. It's a LOT of work transferring everything to it's new home but we can't wait to officially move in. We're excited about what the future has in store for us!
